There are lots of interesting ways to explore South Australia - below are suggestions that can be modified depending on your preferences including cooking experiences or zero-alcohol tours.  

 

All are full day experiences with door-to-door service.

*Most regional wineries will open at 11am therefore pick-up times will be adjusted to suit (or we can make a coffee stop on the way!)

*Pricing is based on 6 hours (including travel time) 

*50% payment required to secure booking, with full payment required at the completion of the tour. 

*Cancellations due to health or unforeseen circumstances can be transferred to another date, subject to availability.  

*Cancellations with 2 weeks notice can receive a full deposit refund.

*All discretionary purchases (foodstuffs, bottled wine) or anything not listed as part of the tour are not included.

McLaren Vale

45 min drive from Adelaide city central, the McLaren Vale region is more maritime, nestled between the Southern Ranges and the cooling southern ocean. With around 100 cellar doors there are now diverse beer & gin tastings on offer.

​

Best known for spicy and rich Shiraz, with the newest star performer Grenache that are often from 80 year old dry grown vines.   New exciting wine styles also include Fiano, Montepulciano and Tempranillo.

Barossa Valley 

1 hour & 15 min drive from Adelaide city central, Barossa Valley (including Eden Hills) is home to some of the oldest vines in South Australia.

With over 100 cellar doors to choose from, the Barossa is more inland where the reds are full bodied offering flavours of chocolate, spice, mulberry and dark cherry and more.

Excellent for Shiraz and Grenache where you can find outstanding single varietals and many GSM blends (Grenache, Shiraz & Mourvèdre or Mataro). 

Many historical brands, alongside many innovative young guns leading the next gen in the art of winemaking. 

Fortified wines are also outstanding from this region and Clare Valley boasts balanced Riesling that age very well.

30 min drive from Adelaide city central, the Adelaide Hills is part of the Mount Lofty Ranges that is elevated between 300-600 metres above sea level.

This elevation helps create arguably some of the best whites that are crisp and fruit driven,  and stunning sparkling wines. The other standout is the lighter red; pinot noir.

Wine at the Park

1 hour 15 min drive from Adelaide city central, the Langhorne Creek region sits between the Mt Lofty Ranges to the north and the Lakes region to the south, with two river systems crossing the region.

​

These cooling elements produce rich and powerful Shiraz, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.

More recently, Chardonnay and Fiano are also star performers.

We are lucky to have two Italian chefs trained in Italy that have decided to call South Australia home who share their love and knowledge of making delicious food.

Barossa Valley

Casa Carboni are located in the Barossa Valley, is headed up by Fiona and Matteo Carboni who combine their culinary talent with local producers to provide a distinctly Barossa-Italian gastronomic experience. 

You will be cooking a 4 course meal then sitting together 'a tavola' (at the table) to enjoy your creations with matched European wines and coffee to finish.

McLaren Vale

Santopalato are located in the heart of the Fleurieu Region, near McLaren Vale.  Pino & Lorena herald from Sicily and bring to concept of 'La cucina povera' which is about making delicious meals from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, that often have no more that 4-5 ingredients.  Their aim is to share with customers the diversified flavours influenced by the many different cultures that occupied Sicily over the centuries.
